An act of faith
An act of faith in others.
Something to think about
There is no gain in burning oneself out. To delegate is to do more than relieve one’s own workload: it is an act of faith in others. This is not always easy to do and most of us will have failed at some time to show that faith. But working together with others is part of our own growth as well as theirs. This is not a setting aside of expertise. Some difficult cases were brought to Moses and it is reasonable to believe that those who felt the need for advice would have learned from his wisdom – a wisdom they could use in their turn to build communities that would be wise and just for all.
Trusting relationships are at the heart of Christian Aid’s work.
