Applications to volunteer with Christian Aid at 2026 summer festivals are now CLOSED. Visit our Volunteering hub to explore more ways to get involved with Christian Aid.

Whether you've volunteered before or this would be your first time, festival volunteering is a brilliant way to be part of something that matters. You'll meet people who share your values, be part of a friendly and well-supported team, and spend a weekend at one of the UK's best festivals - while connecting people to our mission.

Where is Christian Aid this year?

Big Church Festival

Wiston Estate | West Sussex | Fri 28- Sun 30 August 2026

A joyful celebration of faith, music and community, Big Church Festival brings together thousands of Christians for a weekend of worship, creativity and connection.

Greenbelt Festival

Boughton House | Kettering | Thurs 27- Sun 30 August 2026

Greenbelt is a festival of arts, faith and justice, offering space to explore activism, spirituality, music, talks and community.

National Eisteddfod

We also attend the Welsh National Eisteddfod and its youth partner festival, Urdd Eisteddfod.

The National Eisteddfod is the largest cultural festival in Europe, held in a different part of Wales every year. For more information about volunteering in Wales, contact our Welsh team.

Why volunteer at a festival?

Festival volunteering puts you at the heart of Christian Aid's public presence. You'll be talking to festivalgoers, sharing what we stand for, and encouraging people to take action against poverty and injustice.

It's also a genuinely enjoyable weekend. Christian Aid covers your full festival ticket, food and shower vouchers. You can be part of the festival atmosphere without the cost.

We're looking for friendly, dependable volunteers who enjoy connecting with people. You might:

  • Help on a stall

  • Share resources and information about our work

  • Encourage people to take action

  • Speak to festivalgoers about Christian Aid’s work

The support we received before and during the event was fantastic. I'd highly encourage all of my friends to volunteer at such events.

I was looking forward to dedicating my time with likeminded Christians for this cause, and the experience exceeded my expectations! My fellow volunteers and the co-ordinators were wonderful to work with and I found that I could really use my strengths to encourage people to participate in the activities Christian Aid led for festival goers.
