Support Sue as she takes on a triathlon for Christian Aid

Sue has battled with mobility issues and joint pain, after breaking her leg and ankle, is taking on an ambitious triathlon to raise money for international development charity Christian Aid.

After falling during a Munro walk, she was left with a crushed ankle and broken leg. 21 years later, Sue (aged 76), is preparing to cycle, swim and walk over 34 miles, in a brave personal challenge.

Sue’s starting her triathlon on Monday 13 May, which falls during Christian Aid Week, our weeklong fundraising appeal.

In addition to Sue’s triathlon, there are several events planned in Peebles during Christian Aid Week.

Donation envelopes will be delivered to every house, which can then be returned to a drop-off point for collection. There’s also a Christian Aid Week coffee morning at St Andrews Leckie Church Hall (from 10am-midday on the 16, 17 and 18 May) and a plant sale on Saturday (18 May) in the church grounds (10-midday). In addition there’s a 7-mile sponsored walk aimed at families.

Sue's raised over £550 so far, anyone wishing to sponsor her can do so via her JustGiving page
