Draw a Red Line for Gaza
Red Line for Gaza is a movement bringing together voices from across the UK to demand an end to the killing and suffering in Gaza.
As we watch horror unfold, the Israeli government and military’s actions cross red line after red line.
You can join Christian Aid in making a red line at your church to show that enough is enough.
We’ll express our solidarity with our neighbours in Gaza and demand action.
Join us: Make a red line at your church
There’s no ‘set way’ of doing this, do whatever works for you or your church.
Here’s a few ideas:
- Dress in red and link arms around your church
- Hold a piece of red material across your church door or gate. Wrap, weave, tie, red material across a space.
- Make some banners with “________ is a red line”. Which red line do you want to draw attention to? Starvation? War crimes? Bombing hospitals?

Make your red line visible to your MP
Whatever you decide to do, take a photo of your action and send it to your local MP.
You may want to use this template letter. You could also send a photo to your local newspaper with a short write up of why you are drawing a red line for Gaza.
We’d love to see how many churches are getting involved. The more actions we hear about, the more our advocacy team can use this to influence people in power - in Westminster and beyond. So please send your photos to campaigns@christian-aid.org too.
Pray with us
As you gather, you may want to join in prayer.
You may want to use this prayer written by The Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, Dr Hosam Naoum, written to coincide with the United Nations International Day of Peace.
It really helps our campaigning work. If we’re speaking to your MP in Westminster, we can mention that their constituents are also urging them to act.
